Slick Sinkers

st_slick_165x144.gif

A friend of mine used to get upset when his father-in-law would bang lead sinkers on the deck, chipping his boat’s gelcoat. To resolve the problem, I dipped some sinkers in the liquid rubber designed to repair grips on hand tools. Since my friend began using the rubberized sinkers, there have been no more chipped decks. I like to use various colors of rubber depending on the size of the lead, so I can easily distinguish one from the next.
