Skip a Lure Beneath Overhanging Obstructions

To cast a lure into tight quarters, such as under overhanging brush or beneath a dock, drop the rod from vertical to horizontal. Snap the cast on a low trajectory, aiming across the surface a short distance from the target, and skip the lure into position.
