Of course, the lines incorporate Scientific Anglers’ AST formulation for easier casting and fewer tangles. An element key to the design is a 12-foot handling line between the head and running line. This section allows casters to carry more line and helps control pickups to provide smoother and longer casts.
These Clear Tip lines were designed to work 1 to 6 feet deep and have sink rates from 1.25 to 2 inches per second, depending on the size. They come in 200-, 250-, 300-, 350- and 400-grain weights for use with 5- to 12-weight rods, and retail for $59.95.
