Scientific Anglers’ Mastery Series Streamer Express Clear Tip

These Clear Tip lines were designed to work 1 to 6 feet deep and have sink rates from 1.25 to 2 inches per second, depending on the size.

Intermediate fly lines are an invaluable tool for fishing choppy conditions, whether in the surf or in a rip. They also perform well when working poppers or fishing in chum slicks, bait balls or windy conditions. Combine that versatility with a virtually invisible head and you have the makings of a serious new weapon for chasing spooky fish. That’s why Scientific Anglers created the new Mastery Series Streamer Express Clear Tip fly lines, featuring a 30-foot invisible, slow-sinking tip and an intermediate running line.

Of course, the lines incorporate Scientific Anglers’ AST formulation for easier casting and fewer tangles. An element key to the design is a 12-foot handling line between the head and running line. This section allows casters to carry more line and helps control pickups to provide smoother and longer casts.

These Clear Tip lines were designed to work 1 to 6 feet deep and have sink rates from 1.25 to 2 inches per second, depending on the size. They come in 200-, 250-, 300-, 350- and 400-grain weights for use with 5- to 12-weight rods, and retail for $59.95.
