Report to Congress: Fewer Stocks in Trouble

The number of marine fish stocks that are in jeopardy has declined for the first time since reporting began in 1997. According to the National Marine Fisheries Service report to Congress, the number of fish stocks affected by overfishing fell to 93 from last year’s record high of 107.
