A long day of yo-yoing or deep jigging used to leave my armpit sore from my rod butt. I found that wrapping wrist sweatbands on the rod handle, just above the gimbal, provided a quick fix to the discomfort. I prefer the extra-extra-long bands because they provide more of a cushion. The synthetic material dries fast, and the sweatbands can be stacked to the desired thickness.
