Fishing Report – Golden Tilefish Tournament

To celebrate the 22nd anniversary of our store – Peace Token Fishing Tackle, www.peacetoken.com, – we started a golden tilefish tournament. It was a once-of-a-lifetime trip and there were many huge golden tiles caught. Winner Dwayne Sherard’s tilefish was submitted and is now pending as a tie for the world record of 59 pounds, 3.2 ounces

In the end, there were four fish caught over 50 pounds and 20 fish over 40 pounds. Dwayne Sherad won the tournament and received the $1,000 prize. Dennis Muhlenforth was “High Hook” with seven tiles. – Reported by Mike Jung
