Arostegui wins IWFA Annual Crowninshield Award

The IWFA is a group of women who love to fish and enjoy the camaraderie of the sport.

At the International Women’s Fishing Association Annual Award Luncheon in Palm Beach, April 2010, Mrs. Roberta Arostegui (center) was presented with the Club’s prestigious Anne  Crowninshield Trophy.  Mrs. Arostegui of Coral Gables won the award for accumulating the most release points during the 2009 calendar year.

Mrs. Lorrain Francis (left) of Stuart won the Kay Rybovich Trophy, for catching the greatest number of different species during the calendar year.

Mrs. Mary Muratori (right) of Miami won the Ginny Sherwood Trophy, for accumulating the most weight points during the year.

The IWFA is a group of women who love to fish and enjoy the camaraderie of the sport.  The club was formed in 1955 to promote women’s fishing and over the years has become one of women’s most prestigious fishing clubs, setting the standards for conservation and education, and adopted the IGFA species list in 2004.   www.iwfa.org
