Humminbird’s new CannonLink System Module recently received the prestigious Innovation Award from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronic Group was presented the award in the Consumer Electronics and Software Category at the 2007 Miami International Boat Show.
The CannonLink System Module from Humminbird allows anglers to control up to six Cannon Mag 20DT or Mag 20DT/HS downriggers from one central 900, 700 or Matrix Series Fishing System.
“This award means a lot because it demonstrates our commitment to be a leader in innovation,” Humminbird/Cannon Brand Manager Jeff Davison said. “No one else offers product that allows remote control of downriggers from a fishfinder. This provides great advantages to anglers in many fishing applications. We also are proud that this system leverages expertise between our premium brands of Humminbird and Cannon.”
Other benefits of the CannonLink System Module include:
Automatically deploy or retrieve downriggers from any Humminbird Fishing System
Ability to set the downrigger operation to: Manual for complete control; Bottom Track to maintain distance off the bottom; or Cycle to continuously move the downrigger weights between two depths
Monitor the downrigger depth and operation graphically on-screen combined with the sonar graph
Optional Speed/Temp Sensor feature allows operator to read water temperature, water clarity and speed at the depth of the weight ball.
The Suggested Retail Price for CannonLink is $199.99.
