After years of tangled treble hooks, I’ve finally found a way to keep my lures rigged on my rods without the hooks snagging other lines, clothing or skin. My grandchildren seem to enjoy juice from small plastic bottles with snap-on lids. After the kids are done with the juice, I rinse out the bottles and let them dry thoroughly. Then, I add a few drops of oily fish-attractant to the bottle, which makes my lures smell good to the fish and prevents rust. I drop the lure – still on the line – into the bottle and snap on the top. The plastic lid does not have any adverse effect on the fishing line and seems to make a waterproof seal.
