FloScan DataLink Gauge

floscanguage.jpg

FloScan recently introduced this convenient and economical way to monitor fuel usage in electronically controlled diesel engines. The new 7000E DataLink series of Multifunction fuel-monitoring systems draws fuel-use information from the engine’s data bus and then displays it on a standard 3 3/8″-diameter digital gauge.

Models are available for Detroit DDEC, Caterpillar E-series, Cummins QS/IS and other electronically controlled diesels that operate on the SAE J1587 data protocol. Because the DataLink gets its information from the engine’s data bus, it doesn’t require forward and reverse flow-measuring sensors in the fuel lines, so the system costs much less than those designed for other engines.
