Penn has upgraded its International II 30S and 30SW two-speed reels (sug. ret. $500) by incorporating a new push-button shift system that makes it easier to switch between the high-speed 3.8:1 ratio and the power-cranking 1.8:1 ratio. The lighter (57 oz.) standard-frame version of the 30SW wide model also offers added balance, plus plenty of line capacity (700 yrds. of 30 lb. test), making it an ideal stand-up reel for battling tuna, marlin, sailfish, sharks and other tough offshore fish.
