Scientific Anglers’ Mastery Textured fly lines have become very popular among salt-water anglers, and the company has added a clear-tip version to the series. The clear-tip line has the Mastery-based proprietary coating and incorporates the patented Advanced Shooting Technology, as well as the textured, microreplicated surface embossing from the Sharkskin family of fly lines. The textured surface allows anglers to increase casting distance with minimal effort, provides durability and prevents coiling. The running line and head share the same features as other Mastery lines, while the front taper and tip are clear intermediate and sink at a rate of 1½ to two inches per second, leveling out at an estimated 1½ feet. The Scientific Anglers Mastery Textured Saltwater Clear Tip line is horizon blue with a clear tip 100 inches long and is available in size 7- through 12-weight.
