Casting Advice

I've been fly-fishing for about a year, and one of my dad's friends who has fly-fished for 10 years has been giving me lessons on casting, double hauling and the roll cast. Could you give me some drills or advice to help me improve my casting?

**Answer:
**A local fly-casting instructor who does not teach the freshwater trout fly-casting method could do you a lot of good. Failing that I would modestly recommend a video that I recently came out with, Lefty Kreh on Fly Casting, that has received some nice reviews. It contains a number of devices and exercises to teach double hauling, roll casting, etc. Look for it at your local fly shop or call 800-661-5918.
