Gulf Coast Fly Fishing Expo

Hundreds of Fly Fishers from across the Gulf coast will be gathering in Lake Charles, Louisiana May 18th, 19th and 20th as The Gulf Coast Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers host the inaugural “Federation of Fly Fishers Gulf Coast Fly Fishing Show and Expo.” The 3 day event will be held in the Lake Charles Civic Center, right on the shore of Lake Charles in the Calcasieu estuary. The show and expo will include workshops and programs on all aspects of fly fishing and fly tying, by some of the worlds most highly respected anglers and fly tiers, as well as exhibits by fly shops, rod companies and tackle manufacturers, boat makers, outfitters and more. Headlining the show will be 2 of the worlds most recognized fly fishing pioneers and instructors, Lefty Kreh, and Nick Curccione. Lefty and Nick will both host workshops and programs on all 3 days. In addition there will be programs and workshops on fly fishing from kayaks and canoes, fly tying for all levels of experience, outdoor photography, casting for all levels of experience and ability, boat rigging and much more. On Friday the 18th there will be a crawfish boil, and on Saturday the 19th there will be a banquet featuring an auction with bargains on many great fishing related items, fly collections, guided trips, artworks and more. All events, workshops, and programs at the Federation of Fly Fishers Gulf Coast Fly Fishing Show and Expo are open to the public.
