I’ve been doing some different style fishing this last week. Been staying off the flats and fishing channel drop offs and some heavy industrial cover down here in S. Texas with some great success. By industrial cover I mean docks in turning basins for barges, old bridge pilons, and cover in shrimp boat marinas. Snook up to 15lbs. and mangrove snappers up to 71/2lbs. on topwater flies and plugs. Great fun and boy to those huge mangroves pull. It’s like a smallmouth bass on steroids!!
