I’m proud to anounce you that the first Super Grand Slam of the French West Indies history have been made that day while guiding fly fishing angler and friend Dave Teper from Florida. Guadeloupe join the VIP club of Belize, Mexico and Florida, the only places where a Super Grand Slam ever been reported. It is great for our fishery’s credit and a huge path in the gamefishing history of France that I’m building here.

We started the day wading with a 5 pound bonefish on “big bones flats”, then we went fishing mangroves on boat and caught a 3 pound tarpon and a 1 pound snook. We ended the day wading for a permit and after numerous shots at tailing permit, I put Dave on those two tailers, one of them, a 3 pounder grabbed a fly he tied, a fly I told him to use. They were not the biggest fish we have seen, but it says something special about the fishery. It was a day to remember for years and years. It was also the first permit on the fly for Dave and his first Super Grand Slam.
