The Holy Grail of tarpon fishing may have been captured and Jim Holland Jr., fishing out of Homosassa, was apparently the lucky angler. After a two hour fight the fish was reported to tape out at 84 inches long and 47 inches in girth with a estimated weight of 204 pounds. Reportedly the fish weighed in at 202 pounds and is a pending 20-pound tippet record. The fish was caught while blind casting near Hammer’s Rock in deep water and dragged the boat about 3 miles.
