Simba is always in the reckoning in tournaments and is a holder of many records, she was the first boat in the world to catch a “Fantasy Slam” which included 2 black marlin, 1 blue marlin, 1 striped marlin, 5 broadbill swordfish and 2 sailfish all in 24hrs. Simba is also the holder of the Kenyan All Tackle record , a blue marlin which weighed in at 928lbs.Simba in Swahili means lion, like her name she is a true hunting machine.

Fishing is organised on the Indian Ocean and good catches are to be had. Good for sailfish, marlin, tuna and sharks. The sailfish run from October to February; the tuna in September; the Black Marlin between July and September and the striped marlin from December to March


Saltwater game fishing has developed in Kenya over the past 40 years in to a world-class fishery. It is one of the few destinations where no less than six species of billfish may be caught. Terms like “Grand Slam”, “Super Slam”, and “Fantasy Slam” have become synonymous with Kenya fishing in recent years. The 2008-09 fishing season produced some of the most incredible fishing ever witnessed. Catches of 20-30 sailfish released by a single boat were not uncommon.
