I fished for a little while on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay an Saturday and Sunday. I caught two fat Striped Bass up to forty inches on Saturday, kept one. I ran from my house in Poquoson Va. across the Chesapeake Bay this morning and fished from my jet ski around Cape Charles.

Every now and then I like to switch it up and try something different. I was not sure how this one was going turn out. I like things a little spicy and this was.

I could not resist the calm water this morning so I dropped my jet ski in at my house and ran across to the Eastern Shore of the Cheaspeake Bay and soaked some eels on a 7/0 hook in 35-50 feet of water right off of Cape Charles.

This morning I dropped my ski at Messick Boat Ramp in Poquoson around 0615. It was 27 degrees with winds at 15-20 WNW. I ran about 15 miles to the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay and drifted eels off of Cape Charles. Very few marks and no real bait to speak of.

The last two days I caught 24 Striped Bass around the James River Bridge. All on the troll using a 3 oz bucktail / tomic on a three way swivel. I only fished a couple hours each time and kept two each day, it was a blast!

Saturday I towed my ski over to Kiptopeke State Park on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Winds were NE at 20 knots but the seas were not too bad on that side.
