I've Speared a great many of these Parrott fish around Oahu Hawaii, both red and blue (male and female) and have eaten every one of them and haven’t gotten sick yet. Their delicious.

With that many witnesses and pictures, maybe a catch and release would have been better. Anyway congrats on the catch

I have real mixed feelings on this. I love to fish. But I hate to see this big fella die just to establish an IGFA record.
