Reader Tips: Multihook Fluke Rigs

Use silicone tubing from the hobby store to assemble your multihook fluke rigs.

I use silicone tubing from the hobby store to assemble my multihook fluke rigs.

You will need the small, 1 ∕8-inch outside-diameter tubing that is often sold for model-airplane fuel lines.

Simply thread the hooks, tubing and beads onto your line in the desired configuration, then slip the tubing over the eye of each hook — which can sometimes be difficult — and onto the shank and line.

The tubing provides the perfect amount of tension to hold the hooks in place but makes the whole rig easily adjustable to fit your bait.
