Yanmar introduces new 530 hp diesel engine

The new Yanmar 6CX530 will be introduced at the 2008 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

The latest addition to Yanmar Marine USA Corporation's range of high-performance electronic diesel engines, the powerful 6CX530 is lighter than comparable-size engines.  It is EPA Tier 2 certified and ready for Tier 3, making the engine cleaner than today's required regulations.

Producing 530 hp at 2,900 rpm, the heavy-duty 6CX530 is the only 7.4L diesel engine designed for the recreational boating market.  With an innovative, Yanmar-engineered common rail injection system, the freshwater-cooled, in-line, six-cylinder marine engine offers unmatched fuel efficiency and power-to-weight ratio.

The technology-packed 6CX530 comes complete with a Yanmar manufactured marine gear.  Easy-to-service, the reliable engine measures just 36-3/4" H x 52-3/4" L x 34-9/10" W less gear.

The new Yanmar 6CX530 will be introduced at the 2008 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 30-November 3 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  It will be on display in the Bahia Mar Yachting Center/Hall of Fame Marine in booth 1245-1247.
