Two New Mississippi Recreational Saltwater Fishing Records

Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources certifies two new state records.

The Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources certified two state recreational saltwater fishing records during its October meeting Tuesday.

Jon Parker of Moss Point broke the conventional tackle record for Blueline Tilefish (_Caulolatilus microps) _with a 2-pound, 13-ounce fish.

Doug Borries of Ocean Springs broke the fly fishing record for Great Barracuda _(Sphyraena barracudo) _with a fish weighing 17 pounds, 13 ounces.
