BIG PINE KEY, Florida Keys - Anglers can target offshore or inshore species during the Florida Keys Triple Slam Tournament set for Friday through Sunday, May 20-22.
The two-division boat tournament pits teams against dolphin fish, wahoo, grouper and snapper in the waters surrounding the Lower Florida Keys.
In the offshore division, awards await teams that catch the largest dolphin and wahoo. Inshore division teams compete to weigh in the largest single grouper and heaviest combined weight of 10 snappers.
Prizes also are to be presented to the top lady angler.
Triple Slam events are scheduled to kick off with a 6 p.m. final registration and captains meeting Friday, May 20, at Reef Light Tackle, mile marker 29.7 oceanside on Big Pine Key.
Teams are to fish from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with a daily 3-6 p.m. weigh-in at Reef Light Tackle.
An awards presentation follows the final day's angling action.
