CCA names Raymond Douglas "Conservationist of the Year"

Raymond Douglas pioneered the idea of "release mounts"

The Palm Beach Chapter of The Coastal Conservation Association named Raymond Douglas of King Sailfish Mounts "Conservationist of the Year" at the CCA Florida 23rd Annual Banquet & Auction, held at the Boca Raton Resort & Club.

Douglas has been credited for his contribution in the field of Marine Taxidermy.  These days, nearly all gamefish are released alive for mounting purposes.  Says Douglas, "We just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and are thankful to those who have supported us in our efforts."
