News Alert From BoatU.S. Public Relations - March 3, 2010
Dear Friends:
I want to share with you some video footage of an incident that happened on Sunday on the Indian River in Florida. A 21-foot center console with three persons aboard struck the Sebastian Inlet Bridge and flipped over, tossing all three in the water. No one was wearing life jackets. In a stroke of good luck, Good Samaritans were on-scene quickly and able to pull all three persons from the water. TowBoatU.S. Sebastian FL was dispatched to salvage the boat. It righted the vessel and brought it back in.

The good news is all survived. The man referenced in the video who needed CPR to be revived is now sitting up in bed and in stable condition at the hospital.
As we approach the summer boating season, I hope this incident helps us all understand the importance of life jackets. Are yours in good shape, inspected and ready to go? And are you willing to wear it more often?
