Big-game anglers looking to increase their knowledge of the sport should consider a trip to Billfish Expo 2011. The Expo will be held at the IGFA headquarters in Dania Beach, Florida on February 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Subjects to be covered this year include sailfish kites and live bait, trolling for sailfish and marlin with dredges and teasers, tournament strategies, boat builders, raising fish, fly fishing for billfish, wiring fish, blue marlin, whites and spearfish science, satellite tags and currents, using your electronics to find fish, angling techniques, and daytime swordfishing.
Attendees can expect expert seminars from Captain David Fields, Barky Garnsey, Steve Lassley, George Sawley, Kevin Nakamura, Mike Lemon, Karl Anderson, RJ Boyle, Rob Ruwitch, Matty Tambor, Professor Arthur Mariano, Mitch Roffer, Charles Perry and more.
Tickets can be purchased for the event for $65 each. Lunch will be available by Hugh's Catering (at a reasonable price).
There will be raffles and sponsors displaying their products at this event. There will be a Grand Prize drawing for a Shimano Tiagra 80 reel and a Shimano 80-pound rod.
