Large Plug Storage

02_02_large.jpg

Whether fishing on a boat or from the beach, anglers need a simple, inexpensive way to keep their large plugs organized and separated. I cut sections of assorted-diameter PVC pipe – 3 1/2″, 2 1/2″, and 1 1/2″ – to 11 1/2″ lengths. Then I glue or tape them together in such a way that they will fit standing up in a 5-gallon plastic pail. Lastly, I hand my plugs by their hooks in the various tubes, which keep them from getting tangled. For more useful storage space, cut the bottom two inches off another pail and use the resulting shallow tray on top of the plug tubes.
