Uniden has unveiled aline of two-way handheld radios that operate in the Family RadioServices (FRS) frequency bands. The FRS 1200 and FRS 1400 featurea two-mile range and offer up to 30 hours of operation, makingthem useful personal communication tools for families or friendson the go. Each will operate on a half watt output power and featurea call key that rings the receiving FRS unit. The FRS 1200 dual-channelradio ($69.99 each or $139.99 per pair) features an LED indicatorthat lights up when the unit is transmitting messages.
