The Magellan SporTrak Pro Marine GPS from Thales Navigation combines pre-loaded worldwide navigation information in a lightweight waterproof case. The handheld GPS features a WAAS-enabled, 12-channel GPS receiver and quadrifilar helix antenna, which provides three-meter accuracy and quick position fixes. The unit comes with a large, high-resolution display and 32 MB of built-in memory, including a 15 MB worldwide mapping database that depicts waterways, navigation aids and detailed coastline data. SporTrak Pro Marine features a rubber-armored case and will float if dropped overboard, and has a suggested retail price of $300.
