ICOM GP-270ML GPS

icom0103.jpg

ICOM’s new GPS receiver was designed by the engineering team from Micrologic, which was acquired by ICOM last year. It incorporates a 12-parallel-channel receiver with the latest in digital technology, and is easy to view and operate.

The 4.5″ LCD screen is backlit, as is the keypad. Lat/lon numbers are large and easy to read, and the GP-270ML automatically converts loran TDs to lat/lon coordinates. Five soft keys below the display control important functions, and the built-in marine databases contain 16,000 pre-programmed points. The plotting display shows present position and previous track plotted, including lights, buoys and waypoints. Waypoint names can be programmed by the operator.
