GARMIN eTrex

etrex

GARMIN's eTrex is the most compact handheld GPS receiver on the market, yet features a powerful 12-parallel-channel receiver that fits into a six-ounce package. It measures a mere 4" high by 2" wide. Sporting a sleek design, the eTrex's control buttons are on the side of the unit for simple, one-handed operation. There are only five buttons because operation of the eTrex is intuitive and simple. It is also completely waterproof, and its bright yellow case will make it hard to misplace. Two AA batteries will operate the eTrex for 18 hours, and the unit can store up to 500 waypoints with graphic icons. And to get you home, the eTrex also has TracBack, a function that allows you to reverse your track log. It comes with a built-in patch antenna, and is differential-ready.
