The Furuno FCV1200 Color Video Sounder uses the manufacturer’s Free Synthesizer Transceiver to interface with nearly any transducer and allow users to select various frequency and output power levels. The 10.4″ color LCD features echoes in 8 or 16 colors and lets the user blend colors to represent different sensitivity levels, which can help to identify target size and school density. The display allows users to change background color to adjust for varying light conditions and the unit can be ordered with either portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) display aspect. The same sounder is available as the Furuno FCV1200BB – a “black box” version designed for use with a separate monitor. Both the standard and black box models offer both single or dual display modes, marker zoom, and bottom lock with expansion and bottom discrimination. The FCV1200 also connects to a GPS and chart plotter. Suggested retail price of the Furuno FCV1200 is $6,595 and the suggested retail price of the FCV1200BB is $5,595.
