100-0910gear ACR

ACR's new SATELLITE3 406 EPIRB offers users 6-watt, 406 MHz signaling and 121.5 MHz homing capability, plus an option to improve GPS positioning and decrease emergency-response time with a cable interface. The cable connects to a vessel's GPS receiver to continually update and store precise GPS data. SATELLITE3 406 users may also send non-emergency "OK" messages when they subscribe to ACR's 406Link program. The category I SATELLITE3 406 ($950) comes with a fully enclosed Sea Shelter3 bracket; the category II EPIRB ($890) comes with a QuickDraw low-profile bracket. The units carry Class II non-HAZMAT batteries for a minimum of 48 hours of transmission at -4 degrees, weigh 1.3 pounds and measure 7 x 4.2 x 3.6 inches. The optional GPS cable costs $125. The SATELLITE3 406 has received FCC, IC and MED approvals. Call 800-432-0227, or visit www.acrelectronics.com.
