The RLO-43 life raft light system provides an illumination source on both the inside and outside of rescue craft, and can be installed in seconds without the use of adhesives. This means it can be retrofitted to virtually any life raft. The system consists of two lights powered by one battery pack. The external fixture emits a flashing white light in all directions of the upper hemisphere for a distance of greater than two miles, while the internal fixture emits ten degrees of general illumination and a directional 13 degrees reading light that can be aimed anywhere inside the raft.
