Simrad IS40

The unit provides boaters access to depth, speed, autopilot and other information.
Salt Water Sportsman

The Simrad IS40 provides access to depth, speed, autopilot and other information. Equipped with a 4.1-inch, sunlight-viewable LED-backlit display with 320-by-240-pixel resolution, it’s nearly 40 percent brighter than traditional stand-alone displays.

Bonded-glass construction eliminates condensation, and provides excellent visibility in all weather, lighting, and viewing angles. The color display features a simple menu structure, controlled by “up,” “down” and “enter” buttons, and a dedicated “page” key for quick selection.

The IS40 can be linked with an autopilot to switch from manual steering to auto at the touch of a button. The Simrad OP10 optional Pilot Controller ($299) interfaces with the IS40 instrument for full autopilot integration and remote operation.
