Airmar's new Broadband/CHIRP transducers operate across selected low- and high-frequency bands, from 28 kHz to 210 kHz rather than the traditional fixed 50 kHz and 200 kHz. These purpose-designed transducers, which drive the latest sonar technology aboard fishing boats, produce superior detail, low noise, unmatched resolution and extreme deepwater sounding capability. They are available in a wide variety of configurations. Two new ones destined to head the popularity list among anglers making the upgrade to CHIRP fish-finding: The B265LH ($1,795) chirps from 42 kHz to 65 kHz with an 18- to 25-degree cone angle and 130 kHz to 210 kHz with a 6- to 10-degree angle; the R209LH ($2,995) chirps from 28 kHz to 60 kHz at 11 to 17 degrees and from 130 kHz to 210 kHz at 5 to 7 degrees. www.airmar.com
