Greg Mathes and Bobby Leger were on a 2011 Everglades 350CC, fishing out about 80 miles in the Desoto Canyon area in about 2,000 ft of water. Hooked up on about 12:30 a.m. and landed the fish about 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Fish was caught using squid on a 50-wide reel and 80-lb test line.
