Here are some pics of a thresher that we had on aboard the “Reel Deal” out of New London, CT. We were about 15 miles off Montauk and had this thresher hit and after about a 20 minute fight was boatside didn’t have time to get him with the flying gaff and he turned and busted the line. We estimated it to be 8 ft to the inside of the tail and about 300+ lbs.

My son won First Place in the First Annual Wentworth Marina Striped Bass Tournament for Kids recently in New Castle, NH with a 46″ striper. The bass and trophy were almost as large as he is. We fished on a 22′ center console we designed and built by Kittery Point Boat Builders.

This red was caught Memorial Day weekend by Anita Roraback near Cumberland Island GA on board the “Mc A Reel.” It was good enough to win Big Fish at our local tournement at Dover’s Bluff. My daughter Hannah is assisting.

I am a Master Captain and love to fish. I mostly take my friends out fishing in Puget Sound in my 28 foot WellCraft Coastal called “Tail Catcher” My home port is the Port of Edmonds which won the cleanest marina in country award last year.

Dave Brodeur (in orange) and Tim Carroll of South Kingstown, Rhode Island on the night of June 11th had the fishing trip of a lifetime. They went fishing off of Block Island and caught 3 Striped Bass weighing 44 lbs, 42lbs and 40 lbs. There were two others caught that weighed 30 + lbs. Dave’s previous record was a bass wieghing 38 lbs. He can’t believe they caught 4 weighing more than that!

This monster dolphin was caught during the Marsh Harbour leg of this years Bahamas Billfish Championship. Although we didn’t get any points it was a great fish!

This picture was taken in Mobile bay, AL during the peak of the trout spawn, this was her first trout she has ever caught, it weighed 5 pounds.
