Here are some pics of a thresher that we had on aboard the "Reel Deal" out of New London, CT. We were about 15 miles off Montauk and had this thresher hit and after about a 20 minute fight was boatside didn't have time to get him with the flying gaff and he turned and busted the line. We estimated it to be 8 ft to the inside of the tail and about 300+ lbs.
