Sey Hello to My Little Friend
Fly fisherman who venture to providence atoll, in the seychelles, have more than a couple of options of fish to target. There’s tuna, wahoo and sailfish…bonefish, triggerfish and milkfish…and giant trevally-emphasis on the “giant.”¿ In February, angler Keith Rumble, fishing with a 12-weight fly rod, won a battle with a sweet GT that measured 46 inches. Rumble’s guide estimated the fish to weigh more than 60 pounds!

A Super-size tuna for a smallfry
The boys from Reel Peace Charters in Louisiana put another happy angler onto another big fish. This time Captain Devlin Roussel helped nine-year-old old salt Michael Kurras catch a blackfin tuna that was just 12 ounces shy of outdoing the current 26-pound smallfry record-and gives Kurras some major bragging rights at recess.

“There she is…”¿
Somebody give Julie Ball a sash that reads, “Miss ‘Tog 2007.”¿ Fishing off Virginia Beach, Ball caught a 15-pound, ten-ounce tautog on eight-pound line-a pending women’s line-class record. “I could tell I had (the old record) licked,”¿ Ball said, comparing her fish to the current ten-pound, four-ounce record. “I did a little jig.”¿
