“In response to your “Win This” article in the January 2007 issue I have attached a photograph of a 25 lb. king mackerel I caught off of Masonboro Inlet in Wrightsville Beach, NC. I was using a black and blue skirted cigar minnow, 17 lb. test and a short wire leader. “Spending quality time with my teenage daughter Rebecca and her friend Caileen is pretty much non-existent these days except for a brief afternoon of bluefishing! The brunette Caileen is on the left and my blonde daughter Rebecca is on the right. Fran Brouwer from Ontario, Canada with her first snook. The fish was caught fishing docks at night in the Indian Shores, Florida area in December 2006. What a great way to get away from the cold in Canada.

“This is Gwenevere Diamond from Portland, TN. The fish is a 13 lb. hybrid striped bass that she caught on a 8 lb. spinning tackle. The fish was caught in J. Percy Priest Lake in Nashville and was released.” – Chris Richards

“My fiancee (Kyleen Westfall) caught this 45 lb. wahoo on her first deep sea fishing trip, off of Freeport, Bahama aboard my good friend’s 50′ Hatteras, Castings out of Vermilion, OH. We made the four hour run to the Bahamas from Ft. Lauderdale and caught his beautiful fish on a ballyhoo rigged for sailfish…that’s right, she caught it with no wire leader. She would be thrilled to see her picture on SWS’s website as she reads your magazine every month.” – Brandon

“Wife Lisa on our honeymoon at Cabo San Lucas, first time offshore fishing, saw plenty of tailing marlin but could not get one to bite, but this dolphin did “” she enjoyed the experience so much we just bought a 41′ Hatteras to fish the Louisiana Gulf of Mexico!
