When I got a BogaGrip for my birthday, I found the only advice that came with it was that I should slide my hand through the loop on the handle to prevent dropping it overboard. Unfortunately, I know that I get excited when I’m about to catch a big fish and I’ll forget. I slid a crab-trap float over the wrist lanyard and tied a knot in the end of the lanyard, so the float can’t slip off. A 6″ long float with a 9″ diameter is about the smallest float I would use to keep the BogaGrip afloat. Now I know I’ll never lose my BogaGrip, and the insurance policy – the float – only cost me two bucks.
