The 2660 moves like a muscle carfast and powerful. With a crew of three and 80 gallons of fuel onboard, our test boat topped out at 49.2 miles per hour. At 4,300 rpm, the twin Yamaha 150-horse four-strokes cruised at 34.8 miles per hour and sipped 15.1 gallons per hour. In a squall, we punched through the swells and landed softly.

Red tide had chased the kings to the far corners of the Gulf, but the forward deck and wide walkways around the console gave us plenty of room to catch bait on Sabiki rigsa good sign for when the tourney is on the line.
