New Boats: Shamrock 290 Offshore

The new 290 Offshore from Shamrock combines the proven hull of the 290 Walkaround with an all new express layout that is sure to catch the serious angler’s eye. The deep-vee hull is fitted with recessed hydraulic trim tabs, and features 19 1/2 degrees of deadrise at the transom.

The express-style helm station is equipped with a standard tilt-away wheel and enough room to accommodate most popular electronics packages. To port, side seating can accommodate four atop the built-in, insulated coolers. Aft of the helm is a rigging station with fresh water sink on the port side and tackle storage and a cutting board on the starboard.

Fishing features include a 38-gallon live well built into the transom, and beneath the floor of the self-bailing cockpit is a an insulated fishbox with macerator. Both fresh and raw-water washdowns are handy in the cockpit. At the bow, the integrated pulpit is fitted with an anchor roller. The foredeck area includes an anchor locker, in-deck dunnage box and integrated bow rail.

The cabin sleeps four. Amenities include enclosed head with shower, a hanging locker, and a full galley with stove, sink and refrigerator.
