Although the fall fishing season is winding down for many anglers around the country, one of our favorite times is here: boat show season. This year, a number of manufacturers have gone back to the drawing board to address the wants and needs of serious saltwater sportsmen everywhere. Here's a look at a dozen new boats - ranging from inshore skiffs to bluewater battlewagons - that we think will get you closer to your fishing dream. - SWS staff
Regulator 34SS
The "SS" designation in the name of this new model from Regulator Marine stands for "starboard seating," a reference to a new and innovative wraparound seating area that will ensure maximum comfort for passengers. The 34SS will be the largest model in the Regulator line and comes with the features that have made other Regulators so popular, including the company's exclusive fiberglass grillage system, which provides exceptional strength in any size sea. The 34SS will feature a stand-up fiberglass head compartment with a microwave option, a forward berth area, and a roomy helm with electronics space for two 12-inch displays. The 34 was designed for Yamaha's new F350 four-stroke outboards, and a quadruple battery system combined with Yamaha's Command Link instrumentation provides ease of operation.
