Speed is king in the world of Fountain Powerboats, as exemplified by the new 38LX. With its twin-stepped, ventilated Positive Lift hull, notched-transom keel pad, hydraulic offshore high-performance trim tabs and triple Mercury Optimax outboards, the 38LX can reach speeds of up to 60 mph. The 38LX’s cockpit comes equipped with a 50-gallon circulating live well, twin 150-quart fishboxes, rod holders, transom door, aft seat and rocket launcher along the back of the soft top. Its centered helm station offers good visibility and is equipped with GPS speedometer, electronics mounting surface, Keikhaeffer throttles with drive trim, dual-pump hydraulic power steering, trim-tab indicators and side-by-side electric bolster/leaning post.

The cabin of the 38LX features 6′ 5″ headroom and a wraparound sofa and high-low table that seats five. The table converts to a vee-berth that sleeps two. A full galley with microwave, single-burner electric cooktop, sink and refrigerator/freezer sits across from the enclosed head, which has Corian counters, a shower and a VacuFlush toilet. The entertainment center features a flat-screen TV, DVD and stereo with CD player and remote. Shore power, dockside water hook-up and seating for up to ten people round out the features on the 38LX.
