BEEFY T: The optional fiberglass hardtop provides protection from the elements and can be outfitted with an electronics box and lights.
SAFETY IN NUMBERS: With 130 square feet of deck, 30 inches of freeboard, toe rails and thick padded bolsters, the cockpit lets anglers focus on hot fish rather than getting wet.
GRAY MATTER: Factory-rigged twin Yamaha four-stroke 250s or HPDI 300 outboards give the 318 impressive power and range.
HEAD ROOM: Only the tallest anglers will have to stoop to use the VacuFlush head or pull-out shower in this console compartment with six feet, five inches of space.
CATCH CRATER: The limit will be filled before the fishbox space thanks to the 620-quart insulated box in the forward deck.
FISH OR FROLIC: The bow has it all: an adjustable filler that can raise to table height, three insulated storage boxes and comfortable seating.
COMFORT ZONE: The deluxe leaning post has bucket seats that convert to flip-up bolsters, so anglers are fresh after even the longest runs.

Battlewagon is a boating term used for sportfishing boats 45 feet and larger. The EdgeWater 318 CC doesn’t make that cut, but this speedy center console will wage bluewater battles with ease. Single-piece infusion technology bonds resin, stringers and hull in one process, qualifying the 318 for another clich¿-“tank,” as in “built like one.”

Price $148,038 w/ twin four-stroke Yamaha F250 outboards| The unitized hull had no shakes, sliced the waves and was stable on the drift. The twin Yamaha F250s topped out at 51.7 miles per hour with a crew of three and a half load of fuel. Cruising at 4,500 rpm, we did 38.8 miles per hour and burned 26.3 gallons per hour-a 347.5-mile range with a ten-percent reserve.

How it Fished

|| |—| |Test Conditions Jupiter, Florida Sunny 65 ¿ Winds: Northwest 15 mph Seas: 4-5 feet Target: Sailfish| The 318’s cockpit is big enough to handle multiple hookups. We pulled ballyhoo for sailfish and had one taker, but the circle hook came unbuttoned. Live-baiters will appreciate the large wells on the transom.
