Cabo 43 Flybridge Sportfisher

Cabo's new 43 Flybridge comes with a lengthy standard-equipment list, including lots of serious fishing features such as a cockpit bait-prep center with tackle storage, a rigging station and a sink. There are cockpit coaming pads, cockpit engine-room access and a large, insulated in-deck fishbox with macerator pump-out. A heavy-duty transom door opens under a hinged covering board, and salt and fresh water washdowns are standard. A 40-gallon live well is built into the transom.

A standard 10 kW diesel generator provides power to the cabin, which features two staterooms and two heads. The galley has a two-burner electric stove, Corian countertops a two-drawer refrigerator and a two-drawer freezer. The master stateroom is to starboard with a double berth, and the guest stateroom is forward with two single bunks.

The new 43 is built using solid fiberglass on the hull bottom, with vacuum-bagged Core-Cell coring from the upper chine to the sheer. Mechanical features include aircraft-style braided fuel lines, an oil-change system power steering and electronic controls. Power options range from twin 660-hp Caterpillar 3196 diesels, to twin 800-hp MAN 2848LE 403 diesels.
