At this year's Miami International Boat Show -- currently underway at the Miami Beach Convention Center -- we attended a press conference put on today by Pursuit Boats. At the press conference Pursuit did not introduce a new model boat but instead introduced a new concept in ways to fund research for breast cancer science. They showed us a boat wrapped in a blue and pink wrap depicting a pink mermaid swimming through blue sparkling water. This mermaid signifies Pursuit's commitment to donate money from every boat sold at the Miami show to breast cancer research at Johns Hopkins University. It's a bold step and a very innovative way to raise awareness about this dreadful disease and also to help fund this necessary and vital research.
